The right tool is the one that fits.
A few useful questions before choosing an integration platform. Start with the problem, then pick the tools.
Start with your constraints
List the systems you need to connect, expected event volumes, latency requirements and the people who will maintain the workflows. A familiar platform with the right connectors can be more useful than a long feature list.
Look beyond the first workflow
Compare deployment options, authentication support, monitoring, versioning and operational ownership. Confirm what your licence includes and how usage is measured.
Run a representative proof of concept
Try an integration that includes an awkward transformation and a failure scenario. Measure how easy it is to debug, recover and hand over. Use that evidence to inform the choice.
A starting point for your own integration work. Adapt and validate it against your platform version and project requirements.
